Born out of the water industry

Engineering you can stand behind.

Moss Partners Design is a Georgia professional engineering firm and the joint venture of Benjamin and Gina Moss — both licensed Professional Engineers who became engineers for the same reason: to serve their communities. We were born out of the municipal water and wastewater world, the part of civil engineering that quietly keeps communities healthy, and we carry that same standard of care into every project we take on.

Today we design across the civil and structural market — water and sewer infrastructure, foundations, retaining walls, and residential structural engineering — pairing rigorous, science-driven analysis with a real commitment to value. Benjamin, a former Fluid Mechanics professor and a board member of the Georgia Section of AWWA, loves the science beneath the work and explains the “why” behind every recommendation, so you can make confident decisions.

What we value

  • Service firstWe became engineers to serve our communities. That still drives every decision.
  • Science over shortcutsFirst-principles thinking, clearly explained.
  • High valueExcellent engineering shouldn’t require an enterprise budget.
What we do

Our Services

From municipalities to homeowners, the standard is the same: clear, defensible, buildable engineering.

💧

Water & Wastewater Infrastructure

Water main and sewer extensions, basis of design reports, specifications, and bid-ready construction documents — guided through Georgia EPD and local regulatory review.

🏗

Foundation Engineering

Foundation design and bearing-capacity analysis, plus independent foundation inspections and remediation recommendations for residential and light commercial structures.

📐

Structural Engineering

Beam and member design (including LVL and engineered lumber), retaining walls, pavilions and outdoor structures, and residential structural design.

🔍

Third-Party & Independent Inspections

Moss Partners Design is an approved third-party provider for Cobb County under Georgia HB 493 — we perform third-party inspections and plan review under our Georgia PE licence, and reports are submitted to the county within one business day. We also provide independent inspections, foundation evaluations, and structural observation letters anywhere in metro Atlanta and North Georgia — objective, code-referenced, and documented with photos, findings, and clear recommendations.

📄

Reports, Permitting & Construction Support

Basis of Design Reports, engineering letters, specifications, and construction administration to keep projects moving from concept to completion.

Bob’s Your Uncle

AI Takeoff Agent

Send us the bid set. Get back the quantities — a valve register, a quote built in your own template with the pricing left to you, a marked-up drawing set, and the list of places your scope and the contract documents disagree — reviewed and signed off by a licensed Georgia PE. Trained only on the water and wastewater world. Valves counted, quotes checked, job done. Bob’s your uncle.

184sheet bid set read end-to-end, plus five addenda
205valves registered, located and evidenced
43quoted valves matched tag for tag against the rep’s own take-off
7 of 48valves proven supplier-furnished and pulled from the quote before bid
8 amnext business morning, Eastern, for sets in by 6 pm Pacific; addenda same day

Proprietary method — patent application in preparation. Counts and findings are from real production bid sets; project, client and party names are generalised. Your costs and pricing never enter our system. A take-off supports vendor quoting and is not a sealed engineering deliverable.
